Student Scholarship Information

Scholarships expected to be awarded for the 2009 Quality and Productivity Research Conference are as follows:

Mary G. Natrella Scholarships Deadline March 16, 2009

The Mary G. and Joseph Natrella Scholarship will support participation of two students at the 2009 Quality Productivity Research Conference. The scholarship is presented annually by the Quality and Productivity Section to honor the distinguished career of Mary G. Natrella, author of the well-known NBS/NIST handbook, Experimental Statistics. Winners of the scholarship receive a $2500 grant, complimentary registration for the conference, a $500 stipend towards travel and housing expenses, and an opportunity to present their research work at the conference. Application is open to full-time students who are currently pursuing a master's or doctoral degree in an accredited college or university, and who have a demonstrated interest in applications of statistics to quality and productivity. The application deadline is
March 16, 2009. Decision will be made by March 31, 2009.

Quality and Productivity Research Conference Scholarships - Deadline April 20, 2009

The Quality and Productivity Section of the ASA is expected to offer a number of student scholarships consisting of waiving of the conference registration fee and $100 to defray expenses. To be eligible for consideration for a scholarship, a student needs to have a professor send a nomination letter or email to
