Images are at the core of any clinical radiology department. From the quality of the patient experience that goes along with image collection to the diagnostic quality of a radiologist’s report; the images are central to it all. In this talk we’ll briefly touch on the wide range of data represented by the collective: ‘Clinical Radiology’, review key aspects of medical image quality, and highlights interesting applications of statistics in the context of radiology research including shape, texture, and functional imaging.
