QPRC 2016

Student Scholarships

One of the main objectives of the QPRC is to encourage student participation. Scholarships for participation in the conference include the Mary G. and Joseph Natrella Scholarships and QPRC Student Scholarships. The two Natrella scholarships each include a $3500 grant and a $500 stipend toward travel and housing expenses, and complimentary registration for the conference and the pre-conference short course. In addition, winners of the Natrella Scholarships will give a presentation on their research at the conference. For more information on the Mary G. and Joseph Natrella Scholarships, please visit http://community.amstat.org/qp/scholarshipsawards/marygandjosephnatrellascholarship, or contact William Guthrie at william.guthrie@nist.gov.  Note the application deadline of April 1, 2016.

We also provide Conference Student Scholarships to 10-15 student participants each year. The Conference Student Scholarship will include complimentary conference registration (all meals are included plus a tour of the Marston Exploration Theater at the School of Earth and Space Exploration at ASU) and travel reimbursement, up to $200, to cover travel and living expenses for out-of-town students.  The Conference Student Scholarship certificates will be presented during the Banquet on the first night of the conference. Interested students should apply by sending their resume along with one letter of recommendation from one of their current Statistics/Engineering/Business professors to the Conference Organizing Committee Chair, Rong Pan at rong.pan@asu.edu. Applications are due by April 15, 2016, but please apply early for maximum consideration.
