Comparability Criteria for Biological Products

Abstract:

Manufacturers of biotechnological/biological products frequently make changes to manufacturing processes during development and after approval. Reasons for such changes include improving the manufacturing process, increasing scale, improving product stability, complying with changes in regulatory requirements. In this presentation, we discuss different statistical techniques to set up comparability alert limits such as two one-sided tests (TOST), tolerance intervals, and prediction intervals. Further, a comparison between these techniques using a risk-based approach is presented.
