Joint Research Conference
June 24-26, 2014
Equivalence testing, which begins with the assumption that two populations are different until shown to be the same, is used extensively in pharmaceutical product development and testing. Applications of equivalence tests in other fields such as quality control and process engineering, although increasing, have been relatively few. In this presentation, we revisit the basics of equivalence testing illustrated with an application in measurement systems analysis. Recommendations and comments on future research are provided.
