Student Support

Two types of student support are offered: Mary G. and Joseph Natrella Scholarships and Student Travel Grants. Qualified students are invited to apply to any of them or both, following instructions below.

Mary G. and Joseph Natrella Scholarships

Two winners of the Mary G. and Joseph Natrella Scholarships will receive a $3500 grant, a $500 stipend toward travel and housing expenses, and complimentary registration for the conference and the pre-conference short course. In addition, winners of the Natrella Scholarships will give a presentation on their research at the conference.

Apply by April 1, 2019 at Mary G. and Joseph Natrella Scholarships.

Student Travel Grants

A limited number of travel scholarships will be awarded to participating students — up to $500 toward transportation and housing expenses. Students who receive scholarships must

  • Register for the conference and/or the short course.
  • Reserve on-campus accommodations.
  • Make their own travel arrangements.
  • Save relevant receipts. Expenses will be fully or partially reimbursed after the conference, but only if they are supported by receipts.

All students are invited to apply for travel scholarships; however, preference will be given to students who submit the application form by May 15 and register a contributed talk or a poster.
